You may have seen from my instagram that I spent last weekend in Pioneertown at the Calmada Private Resort. The venue was so spectacular and magical. I will be sharing a full recap of the property and my experience next week so be sure to follow along for that adventure because you won’t want to miss it.
As I was packing for the desert I found myself packing exclusively maxi dresses (you may remember this one.) The desert is, after all, the perfect backdrop for a dramatic, flowing gown. Even though it deviates away from my signature style, I am obsessed with this super feminine dress from City Chic.
What fun would life be if we didn’t push ourselves to wear (and do!) things that we normally wouldn’t?
If you’ve been following MO for awhile you’ll notice that I tend to gravitate towards dresses that are solid black, and form fitting. This printed dress is neither solid, nor form fitting, breaking that mold completely. However, I’m normally in the city, so a change of scenery calls for pushing myself outside of my fashion boundaries.
One of my favorite plus size styling services, Dia & Co. has a “Try-Day Friday” challenge that empowers women to test out those pieces they normally would shy away from. I think it’s such an amazing initiative because it allows women to find confidence through wearing things that would normally scare them. Consider this my personal Try-Day Friday!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
