Striped Shirtdress in Provence

And the Provence spam on Madame Ostrich starts NOW.  As you’ve seen on instagram, I’ve been in France for work, showing With Love From Kat, For the Love, Pretty Little Fawn, Beauticurve, and Extra Petite the magical place L’Occitane started.

Next week I will be posting a full blog dedicated to that incredible experience, but in the interim I wanted to share this easy plus size vertical stripe shirtdress from (you guessed it,) Boohoo!

I have been wearing Boohoo non stop lately for two reasons: 1. The price can’t be beat for on trend items.  2.  The pieces run true to size and are pretty top heavy friendly.

The beauty of shirtdresses is that they are are so easy and effortlessly chic.  Their structure makes you look put together, but they are as simple as “throwing something on.”

Since this is a shirtdress with no stretch, I went up a size.  I knew I wanted to be able to belt it and I wanted it to be on the longer side to be work appropriate.

Keeping in the vein of simplicity, I styled it with these mules I picked up at DSW for under $40, one of my favorite bags from Henri Bendel, and a straw hat we received as a gift from Atelier Theodore.

Voila an easy summertime look!

Have a great weekend!  Thanks to my friend Courtney of Pretty Little Fawn for taking these pics!
