Off the shoulder tops have long been a boho style staple, but did you know they can be chic and sophisticated as well?

It may seem completely counterintuitive that the off shoulder tops that are so popular this season (you know, the billowy ones that have elastic around the shoulder/bust area, and then hang loosely?) would look good on a curvy figure. However, with a few styling tricks you can make the shirt’s shape complement your shape.

For instance, if you are afraid of looking like you’re wearing a potato sack, I suggest pairing it with something fitted and high waisted and then tucking it in.
Conversely, leaving the top untucked can be a great way to keep attention away from your waist. The silhouette will draw attention to your collarbone and show off your shoulders instead.
